Silver Mountains (canvas wrap) blue Size: 11"H x 16"WThe original Silver Mountains was created with a background entirely made with imitation silver leaf. The ground below the mountains was textured first and the sky has the texture of the canvas weave peeking through it. The clouds and the water feature under the mountains were rendered using acid oxidized copper paint to make it patina. I knew when I did the acid over the aluminum leaf it would eat away some of the metal so I painted it the background
