Leyla Rug with a repeating floral designA 1920s Derbend prayer rug from north east Caucasus. It is an unusual piece in combining bold geometrical motifs with flowers in the borders. Pops of pale coral pink give it a joyous feel. It only gradually emerges to the eye as the prayer rug that it is. Overall wear and corrosion to browns, losses to ends. Thin pile with some wear to base. Would benefit from underlay 149 x 89cm
