When the suit is on this causes it to sit up and off the chest slightly and gives it a little support there to add shape

I wonder if the original client perhaps bought the ready-to-wear top and then had a skirt custom-made… or perhaps both pieces were a special order and they just used a label on the top that was on hand in order to put the fabric content tag on
