The results showed that VOA and -asarone both exhibited dose dependent free radical scavenging activity, moreover, the antioxidant activity of VOA is believed to be related to its phytochemicals such as terpenoids and phenolics, which diffuse into the cell membrane structure and destroy it (Gholivand et al., 2010)
Research shows low-load BFR training can drive tendon adaptations comparable to high-load training: 14 weeks ~8% cross-sectional area & ~36% stiffness (Centner et al., 2019) Short-term pain relief (~45 min) enabling loading when it otherwise hurts (Korakakis et al., 2018) This means athletes and patients can achieve meaningful tendon stimulus and pain relief without high mechanical stress
