CRTFD LVR BXY 6lack this was one of theI painted this piece in anticipation of the Certified Lover Boy album. It was an exercise of detail to capture the intricacies on his jacket and sweater. Capturing the materiality of his garments was challenging, but I learned a lot from observing the nuances of light while painting it. The exploration of colour was inspired by the Certified Lover Boy music video, and I tried to push some of the tones in his skin to push my understanding of chroma.
