Georgian, George III, Pair of Old Sheffield Plate Sauce Tureens. Circa 1790. Beatrix Potter ESPRIT decorationGeorgian, George III period, pair of Old Sheffield Plate sauce tureens and covers. Circa 1790. Both are of navette and pedestal form, featuring urn finials to the covers and reeded detail to the borders and handles. Both are raised upon oval, pedestal feet. In very good order with some copper bleed. The covers do not sit fully tight, leaving small gaps at each end. The bases are numbered 1 and 2 (photo 6), whilst the covers have one dot and the other
